KV (she/her) is a 30-something, self-taught, eco-conscious artist based in Grand Rapids, MI. Using palette knives, heavy-bodied acrylics, and super heavy gel mediums, she paints bold, textured florals and landscapes on upcycled canvases.

At v.deliberate.art, her art business, she makes art deliberately following these values:

• Make art with as little environmental impact as possible (because it's our responsibility to act as stewards of our planet)
• Make art that is affordable (because we all deserve to own beautiful things, not just the rich)
• Make art in a way that cultivates community & humanity (because corporate greed and AI are working to dismantle those things)
• Make art that is radically joyful as an act of resistance (because a society that is immobilized by fear is an easily controllable one)

When she's not painting, she's running after her (very fast) kiddo, taking a dog-nap (as in, trying to sleep in the same bed as a 75-lb greyhound), playing cozy video games, or giving her spouse high blood pressure by starting (yet another) project of some kind. #sorrynotsorry
