About

One of my best friends lost her 16-month-old son; he died in his sleep and to this day, the cause remains unknown. When she went in for an induction during her second pregnancy, I was extremely anxious, convinced something horrible would happen. Incapable of sitting still, I made this. Painting quiets my mind and feels like time travel; one moment it’s 6:30 am and I’m drinking my coffee, the next, it’s noon and I’m ready for lunch. And luckily, my friend had no complications that day, delivering a healthy baby boy.
